Tottenham Hotspur have written to the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) to express concerns over what the club views as inconsistent refereeing decisions this season

The correspondence, sent to PGMOL chief Howard Webb, is primarily focused on conflicting rulings for physical contact inside the penalty area that have led to goals being allowed or disallowed According to reports, Spurs believe they have been disadvantaged by a number of key incidents. One specific example highlighted is from the club's 4-1 home loss to Arsenal on 22 February In that match, a goal from striker Randal Kolo Muani, which would have levelled the score at 2-2, was ruled out after officials judged he had pushed defender Gabriel Magalhaes

The club is reportedly seeking clarification from the league's refereeing body on the consistent application of the rules in such pivotal moments.
