Englishman Stephen Constantine has been reappointed as the head coach of the Rwanda men's national football team, signing a two-year contract The 63-year-old is set to begin the role on March 16, and will leave his current post as manager of the Cypriot club APEA Akrotiri to do so

This marks Constantine’s second tenure in charge of the Amavubi, following a spell from May 2014 to January 2015 before he departed to manage India In a statement, the Rwanda Football Federation said Constantine was chosen to bring "leadership, technical expertise and dedication to advancing Rwanda's football ambitions"

Known for a varied managerial career, the London-born coach has also had spells in charge of national teams in Nepal, Malawi, Sudan, and Pakistan His primary objective will be to guide Rwanda, currently ranked 130th by FIFA, in their bid to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations A successful campaign would mark only the second time the nation has reached the tournament, following its debut appearance in 2004 Constantine's first matches back in charge will be in an upcoming friendly tournament
