The most significant engagement took place in the Kurram district on November 19, where a total of 23 militants were killed in two separate encounters According to the military's media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an initial targeted operation was conducted based on the reported presence of militants, resulting in an intense exchange of fire that neutralized 12 individuals Capitalizing on further intelligence, security forces conducted a second IBO in the same general area, killing 11 more suspected militants
In a broader statement, the ISPR reported several other operations across the province An IBO carried out on November 18-19 in the Mohmand district resulted in the deaths of four militants In the Tank district, security forces killed one militant in an encounter Another operation in the Lakki Marwat district neutralized two individuals This operation was confirmed by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Bannu and Lakki Marwat, which stated its teams conducted a joint operation with local police in Sarai Naurang late Wednesday CTD officials said they had been tracking the pair after receiving information that they were mobile in the Nali Chak Road area and possibly planning an attack there
The ISPR referred to the individuals killed in its operations as "Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij" Officials have stated that sanitization operations are ongoing in the affected areas to clear any remaining militant presence
