With 100 days until the start of the Women's T20 World Cup, England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt says her team is hoping to "capture the nation" and create their own "Euros moment" on home soil this summer
Speaking at an event to mark the milestone, Sciver-Brunt drew inspiration from the recent successes of other English women's sports teams, particularly the Lionesses' victory at the European Championship in 2022 "To experience the things they experienced, winning their tournaments is just amazing," Sciver-Brunt told BBC Sport "As a women's sport fan, putting myself in their shoes at that time was really special. To have the chance to do that this summer, it's almost unthinkable where you can go with it"
Sciver-Brunt believes a successful tournament could be transformative for the sport, stating that "women's cricket can go wherever it wants to after this tournament"
England has a formidable record in World Cups held on home soil, having won all four previous tournaments they have hosted across both T20 and 50-over formats The team will be looking to leverage this historical advantage and the energy of home crowds as they compete for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup England trophy
