Andrew Gunn, the film producer behind several popular Disney films including ‘Freaky Friday,’ ‘Cruella,’ and ‘Sky High,’ has died at the age of 56 His family confirmed he passed away at his home in Toronto on Monday, March 2, from complications related to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
Born on July 15, 1969, Gunn established a significant career in Hollywood, particularly in family entertainment He founded his production company, Gunn Films, in 2001 and was also a co-founder of Solstice Studios
His production credits feature a slate of well-known films, including the 2003 hit ‘Freaky Friday,’ the superhero comedy ‘Sky High,’ ‘The Haunted Mansion,’ ‘Bedtime Stories,’ and ‘Race to Witch Mountain’ He also produced the 2020 thriller ‘Unhinged’ and the 2021 Disney live-action film ‘Cruella’ At the time of his passing, Gunn was involved in producing ‘Freakier Friday,’ a sequel to his 2003 film
