The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has announced it will focus on expanding its local branches, known as ‘shakhas’, and increasing its public outreach programmes as part of its centenary year initiatives The plan signals a dual focus on organisational growth and wider social engagement as the group approaches its 100th anniversary.
In a press conference in Samalkha, Panipat, RSS joint general secretary C R Mukund stated that “special emphasis” was being placed on these two areas The expansion of shakhas aims to strengthen the organisation's grassroots network across the country. Simultaneously, the push for greater public outreach is intended to broaden the RSS’s engagement with Indian society
This strategy is the cornerstone of the organisation's centenary commemorations. By growing its foundational units and scaling up its social interaction, the RSS aims to solidify its presence and influence as it enters its second century.
